Affected employers will be able to claim a fortnightly payment of $1,500 per eligible employee from 30 March 2020, for a maximum period of 6 months.

4. PAYROLL TAX RELIEF
- 25% reduction of payroll tax liability for businesses with payrolls up to $10 million.
- Payroll tax return lodgements and payments waived for three months for businesses payroll of no more that $10 million that pay payroll tax.
- Tax -free threshold raised to $1 million in FY2020-21 from $900,000.

5. PAYROLL TAX WAIVED
- All businesses can opt to defer payroll tax payments.
- Payments for the remainder of 2019-20 deferred until 3 August 2020.
- Waiver for hospitality, tourism, & seafood industry businesses for the remainder of FY2019-20.
- Impacted SMEs businesses with annual payroll up to $5 million can apply to waive payroll waived.
- Threshold increased to $1 million on 1 July 2020.
- Impacted employers paying $7.5 million or less taxable wages may apply for payroll tax waiver.
- Impacted employers paying more than $1 million but less than or equal to $4 million to automatically receive $17,500 one-off payment from July 2020.
