How do you measure success, what does success means to you?
Success is unique to all of us. To me it is a journey of persistence and accomplishment according to your own objectives. Empowering others and being part of their journeys to success is one of my passions. It is important to be able to find yourself through your passions, do your best, be grateful for your blessings, and make an impact on your surroundings in a positive way. The satisfaction, happiness and financial reward will compliment your hard work thereafter.
How do you keep employees engaged and motivated?
Understanding, empathy, moral support and empowering our team to communicate with confidence are important components for me.
Training and equipping our team through the appointment of division leaders, valuing their feedback, ensuring both their personal and professional development needs are addressed, evaluating and mobilizing the leaders to empower their teams in the same way strengthens communication across all divisions and creates good engagement.
Last but not least, lead everyone with respect. The right people will have the motivation to serve better.
What is best career advice you’ve received and why?
My late father once told me: Just be content in yourself and give your best in whatever you do. Life does not always work out in your favor but it is our response that matters. A good attitude will lead to a positive response. Both good and difficult experiences will shape you in a good way. Always be persistent, good results don’t lie.
