The centre of the world economy is gravitating east in terms of economic growth, GDP and the rising position of China (including Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of The People’s Republic of China) as the second largest outbound foreign direct investment (FDI) market globally. The growth in outbound investment is one of the most salient features of the Asian economy in the last decade. Prior to this, most Asian economic trends and commentary would focus on the FDI inflows. This feature is the anchor and key driver of success for the APAC region.
