Tricor Seminar 2017, addressing the latest in corporate governance and regulatory compliance, received overwhelming support at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on Monday, 20 November. Over 1,300 participants were in attendance, including Tricor clients, business associates and executives.
Distinguished guest speakers shared their experience and expertise on recent topics of interest, with our keynote speaker setting the scene for the Mainland and Hong Kong economies, and our other speakers highlighting aspects of corporate behaviour and corporate governance. Tricor executives then shared practice experience on certain regulatory issues and disclosure obligations for Hong Kong listed issuers.
This year, we made use of technology to deliver a more interactive and impactful seminar experience. We were thrilled to introduce a Guest App to provide a platform for live polling during the event, for the delivery of presentation materials in lieu of paper handouts, and for evaluation after the seminar.
We wish to extend our warmest thanks to our Group Chief Executive, Mr Johnny Ng, for delivering the opening address; to our distinguished guest speakers, Professor Lawrence J Lau, Mr Nicholas Allen, Mrs April Chan, Ms Joelle Lau, Dr Kelvin Wong and Dr Jeanne Ng for sharing their valuable insights; to our Tricor executives, Ms Kitty Chan, Ms Susan Lo, and Ms Winnie Yuen for their perspectives on regulatory issues and disclosure obligations in Hong Kong; and to our Chief Executive Officer - Mainland China and Hong Kong SAR, Mrs Natalia Seng, for wrapping up the afternoon with her closing presentation.
