Following nearly a decade of record-setting initial public offerings (IPOs) around the world, a new generation of Mainland Chinese companies is going public on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX).
From 2006 through 2014, three Mainland Chinese companies made history with the scale of their IPOs: Alibaba Group’s NYSE listing and the HKEX listings of the Agricultural Bank of China and the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China remain the three largest in the world. These companies succeeded, in part, by offering investors proven records of success at a global scale.
